Erin's First Bath
Another set of pictures that took me forever to post....Erin's First Bath! She was almost a month old by the time we gave her a first bath in her bath tub. I just stuck with give her the sponge baths...I just felt a little more comfortable, but she hated them! So, we finally set up the bathtub in the kitchen and she actually enjoyed having a bath! So much fun!
After bath time, we headed upstairs for some story time! I tell ya...I think this is going to be Joe's favorite part of the day!
| Ooh..this feels good!!! |
| She kept putting her hand up like she wanted me to hold it...she still does this today! |

Some Daddy and Erin Time and a few more pics
I was telling Joe the other night how seeing him with Erin is one of my favorite moments every day. Usually when he comes home from work, he helps with dinner and such and then spends the rest of the evening with her.
These are a few photos that I took of the two of them enjoying some quality time together.

I also had to add these couple of picture! I love when I check on her during naps and she has these funny faces or poses! I couldn't resist not sharing!
A Visit with Uncle Eddie and Aunt Connie
We have had lots of visitors since Erin's arrival, but we had one last visit before I started up work again! Erin and I made the visit down to see his Uncle Eddie and Aunt Connie. If you can't tell, Uncle Eddie is Joe's dad's brother. It was great to see them and spend some time with his cousins, Morgan and Jackie as well! It had been awhile since we had seen them all and it was so nice to spend the afternoon with them.

Pictures of my own!
After we had Erin's photos taken, Joe had mentioned that we had this really nice camera at home and I should try a shot at taking some of Erin's photos myself. I wasn't too sure about it, but I thought I would give it a try! I don't think they are too bad if I do say so myself! Now...do I use the photographers or my own photos for her birth announcement! Maybe we should have a vote!

Professional Pictures Taken.......
A woman that I work with referred this woman to me that is starting off as a photographer to take some newborn photos of Erin as well as some family photos. As you can see below, the photos of Erin came out so well...the family photos..not so much (I didn't even want to post them!) I'm trying to decide which photos to use for our baby announcements...

Weekend Review
Saturday, my family came in for a visit. Although my brother and dad were only able to stay for a day, my mom stayed up until this Thursday. It was really nice to see them and believe it or not, I didn't get any photos of my dad and brother with Erin. Here are a few photos from this past week....

She's Perfect
You can only imagine and wonder what your little one will be like. How will my life change? Will things ever be the same? How do I balance my day and prioritize? It's amazing how those things just don't seem to matter as much once they arrive. Except of course how she will be like. She is absolutely amazing and perfect. Her dainty nose and pouty lips. The way she whimpers and smiles in her sleep. Her ability to make me melt just by looking at her! Our life is forever changed and I couldn't be any happier.
It's been an interesting couple of weeks. It's amazing how you just adapt. No questions asked. You sleep when you can, feed her whenever she is hungry and change diapers around the clock. Its amazing how I don't seem to mind if I don't get a shower or the house is a little more chaotic than usual. Her needs are the most important. I have been meaning to post pictures, yet I don't seem to get a second to even get on the computer. Wow, how that has changed. Joe and I were talking last night and he was saying how drastic your day changes: Feed, change, sleep..go to work..run errands...cook dinner....and stay up with your daughter and before you know it...it's midnight. You go to bed and do the same thing all over again the next day without thinking twice about it.
As I am typing this, she is sleeping peacefully on my chest and I wish these moment would never disappear....

Dad...You're embarrassing me already
Joe loves to dance and sing. It was by no surprise that this child was only a week old when she had her first father/daughter dance. And yes...she looks just like him right now....
Really...is this for real? |
